How could you not want to incorporate this into your wedding decor?

Ok  – I admit to being a little tiny bit over-attached and maybe just a little bit over- enthusiastic about some of my inventory.  Obviously I love everything,  that is why I chose it for my shop.   But seriously?   This church window is from the Lantz United Church.   Families are paying to have new windows installed and as they take out the old window, the family that sponsored the new window gets to keep the one they take out.   I actually have two of them  – one has just the white glass with snowflake pattern and this one has the colored glass around the edge.   I am hoping to purchase a third.

The sweet ladies that I bought the windows from were so happy that they were still going to have a “sacred” purpose.   I love that too.   I promised them pictures from their first wedding and I’ll soon be able to make good on that promise.

I’m Ready! Please Rent ME

Pick me!    No pick me!    That is what my chairs seem to be saying to each other as they are preening and showing off their new coats of paint and upholstered seats.   They are acting mighty pleased with themselves and can’t wait to show off their new looks.   Clearly Ms. Mustard and Grey (*no relation to Christian*) is very happy with her makeover.

“Titanic” Chairs

For this episode of as found to rental ready I am totally capitalizing on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic for selfish money grabbing purposes.      NO  – not really, these folding wooden chairs just remind me somehow of the pictures you always see of the deck chairs salvaged from the Titanic.   And I love the antique-y faded look of the fabric.   And I am lucky enough to have 2 ♥

We’re Open!

It has taken months and months and lots of fun and hard work and now we are ready to show you what we have!

I will be uploading pictures and information over the next few days and in the meantime, please check out my Facebook page at:  http://www.facebook.com/pages/Something-Borrowed-Vintage-Rentals/266666536701540

To get us started, here are some photos of a bench from as found to rental-ready.    I’ll post more of these start to finish projects here and also highlight new purchases.   I expect my inventory to be fairly fluid – I’ll keep pieces that seem popular and change out other pieces for new items.

If you have any suggestions on stock, please let me know.   I am already looking for wine barrels, a cast iron tub and some more church pews!

Any help you could provide to spread the word to vintage inspired or shabby chic brides, event planners and photographers would be appreciated so much!
